Following the Light, Learning Together | Welcome to Our 2026 Master's Cohort
September opens a new chapter of learning and discovery. This autumn, Zerui Yi, Tianyi Wang, Jiacheng Ge, Peimiao Yu, and Wenrui Wang begin their master's studies in the Guixiang Li Laboratory at Southeast University. They bring different hometowns, university experiences, and interests to this shared journey. Let us meet our five first-year master's students and learn about the ideas and interests that inspire them.
Zerui Yi

Zerui Yi describes a simple outlook: a love of life. Badminton and gaming are among favorite ways to relax. Continuing from undergraduate to master's studies on a familiar campus brings new questions and possibilities. Zerui's motto encourages courage through acknowledging one's shortcomings and progress through recognizing what remains to be learned, a fitting companion for the journey ahead.

Tianyi Wang

Travel, photography, journaling, and comedy bring color to Tianyi Wang's everyday life. Tianyi describes an easygoing and optimistic personality, together with a willingness to work through challenges. The motto, “In me the tiger sniffs the rose,” combines courage with an appreciation of life's quieter details. We look forward to sharing the research journey ahead.

Jiacheng Ge

Jiacheng Ge enjoys table tennis and offers a modest self-introduction: “a quiet presence who may be a little clumsy but keeps moving forward.” There is determination in those words, alongside the motto, “Keep your talents in reserve and stay humble.” At this new starting point, we wish Jiacheng steady progress and the confidence to grow at a personal pace.

Peimiao Yu

Peimiao Yu's interests range from anime, table tennis, and guitar to mystery and martial arts novels. A commitment to giving every task full effort goes hand in hand with the motto, “Learning never ends.” With varied interests and a wholehearted approach to learning, Peimiao begins a new stage of study and exploration. May that curiosity accompany each new attempt and each step forward.

Wenrui Wang

Wenrui Wang enjoys basketball and films and describes an introverted personality that takes time to open up. Sincerity, patience, attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure are qualities Wenrui values, along with a willingness to devote energy to subjects of interest.
